Are you tired of watching too much YouTube? Do you still want to use the website without the fear of being sucked into a rabbit hole that’s designed to trap you? Ever want to simplify the user interface by removing specific buttons, elements, and sections? Well, I’m pleased to welcome you to YouTube for Professionals. This is a browser extension that aims to keep YouTube usable for learning and keeping up with world-events while keeping it non-addictive and intentionally limited just for you. Perfect for students, learning professionals, and people tired of YouTube’s addictiveness.

Sometimes seeing your usage laid out will help you understand which part of your behavior needs to be changed. Feel free to enable User Analytics to easily track your basic usage on YouTube that is stored locally by this extension. You can also upload your YouTube usage history from Google Takeout to view in the available charts, graphs, and views alongside the usage tracked by this extension. Receive Restriction Suggestions to easily enable a specified set of restrictions that is most useful to you based on your past usage!

Do users really need an infinite recommendation feed or a bajillion options in their sidebar? Probably not. YouTube should have an option available to hide parts of YouTube to curate a unique experience per user, but don’t you worry! YouTube for Professionals has that covered for you with its Youtube UX Restrictions feature. Select from a pre-determined list or use the on-site YouTube UI selection overlay to view and enable restrictions on available elements. Enable those restrictions and enjoy not being manipulated by those addictive elements!

Nobody can deny that YouTube is an extremely valuable resource that can’t be disabled entirely, but the content is typically not compatible with being productive. Do you want to avoid spoilers for an upcoming movie or game? Do you want to see only tutorials in your recommendation feeds? Done. It’s all yours to moderate by enabling a Content Filter preset or a custom-made filter. Or do you want to completely change the home page layout into a non-addictive design? You have many layout options to choose from that will benefit you.

Other useful features, such as General Web Blocking or a local database for your privacy, are completely available to use as you please. If you’ve downloaded the extension, please feel free to send me your thoughts, any bugs you’ve found , and/or features you’d like to see to my email @[insert project email here]. I hope you enjoy and find good use for my extension!

Thank you!
